We’re thrilled to share that we’ve received £53,610 of Sport NI funding for our walking/hiking/rambling initiatives! A huge shoutout to everyone who plays National Lottery games – you’re making a real difference! #PowerOfSport

SportNI staff with member Graham Seymore and Dev. Officer Kerry Kirkpatrick.

This is the second year of funding that UFRC has secured through the Sports Systems Initiative for Governing Bodies (SSIGB) programme. The funding has been instrumental in the past year in ensuring members of UFRC clubs are getting the best training opportunities and increasing the awareness of the sport in Northern Ireland. It has also allowed the federation to employ a development officer (Kerry Kirkpatrick) to assist in the running of admin tasks and implementing the funding budget.

For the 2024/25 funding programme, we hope to continue to grow the number of members in our clubs, provide more training opportunities across the clubs and increase awareness of UFRC in Northern Ireland.
