Walk details:

Walk location: Ballycastle Forest, Co. Antrim
Meeting location: Fairhill Street car park Ballycastle
Join the members of Glens of Antrim Rambling Club for an enjoyable ramble in Ballycastle Forest on the slopes of Knocklayde. The walk will be along forest tracks and will include some ascents/descents. There will be a short mid-walk break for BYO refreshments.
Directions: Meeting place is in the Fairhill Street car park in Ballycastle just off The Diamond in the town centre

Suitability: Open to all adults with some walking experience and a reasonable level of fitness

Key things about Glens of Antrim Rambling Club:

  • We are a friendly group who enjoy the social aspects of walking as well as the fitness benefits.
  • Any adult is welcome to join us – though all our current members are over 50.
  • The walk not suitable for children.
  • No dogs please.

What to bring:

  • Wear walking boots.
  • Bring raingear
  • A walking pole if desired
  • A drink and snack for the mid-walk break.
