Under the Access to the Countryside (Northern Ireland) Order 1983 (the Order) DAERA intends to make a minor Public Path Diversion Order (PPDO) in relation to the public right of way located between Prince Regent Road and North Road, Newtownards so that the line of the public path referred to in paragraph 1 is diverted to enable development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission. Note that planning permission for the housing and roads has already been granted. This notification related to the public right of way diversion only.
Any representation or objection with respect to the above proposal may be sent by email to strategicrecreation@daera-ni.gov.uk or in writing to the Access Officer, NIEA, 2nd Floor Clare House, 303 Airport Road West, Belfast BT3 9ED on or before 16 January 2026 and must state the grounds for objection.
