About

The Belfast CHA Rambling Club was set up in 1926 as part of the Countrywide Holiday Association, Although that organisation is now defunct, we have been allowed to retain the name as it has such historical significance for us. On almost every Saturday since it was set up, members of the club have been out discovering and enjoying places of beauty and interest which are so plentiful in our part of the world.

We are proud that our club is open to all. We use public transport so that it is accessible to those without cars and we have a very diverse membership in terms of age, nationality and background.

Our walks are normally up to 8 or 9 miles in length and we often have shorter options for those who prefer not to walk so far.

We have a sister club based in Dublin and we have recently managed to hold a joint ramble and meal for both clubs – the first since 2019. It was good to be all together again and we hope to plan further meet ups in future.
