Membership Benefit – UFRC Outdooractive Community & Discount

There are a number of ways your club can connect with UFRC on Outdoor Active.

• Register for 4 weeks FREE Pro+
  If not already done so, register for your free Outdooractive account on this link and receive 4 weeks free PRO+ without obligation. If you enjoy, you can purchase later with a member discount.
• Tag your profile with UFRC
  Click on your profile name in the top right corner of the screen the click “View Profile” button, then “Edit Profile”. Scroll down, under “Membership”, click “Add membership” button and set it to UFRC and save the changes to your profile.
• Follow UFRC
  Click the “Follow” button to keep up to date on content updates.
• Apply the UFRC member discount – Members can claim a discount voucher to Outdooractive PRO/PRO+ subscriptions using the discount code on your annual membership card. Vouchers can be redeemed on this link

Over the coming months and years UFRC will be building awareness of the association, our clubs and membership, through the publishing of UFRC branded content authored on Outdooractive including events and routes. We will eventually be calling on our members to share any tried and trusted walks for publication under the UFRC brand. In the future, we will introduce other features like:

• Audio Guide POIs
  These can be set up as interactive touch points along the routes, which is great for enhancing the experience.
• Accessibility Reports
  Another interesting option for their community, adding value for members with accessibility needs.

Club Level Features

The Outdooractive community features will provide a wide range of useful features and benefits for clubs:

• Topographic maps
  The Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland (OSNI) is the official mapping agency of Northern Ireland.
• Outdooractive maps
  The Outdooractive Map is a specially designed map that comprises official data from thousands of local authorities, mountain guides, trail wardens and mountain rescue teams.
• Location Sharing
  Let your family and friends know where you are and allow them to follow your adventures in real time. In case of an emergency, BuddyBeacon can be used to find your exact location quickly.
• Social groups
  Keep updated on what’s going on with the membership. Your club can create and manage its own social private group in Outdooractive. Perhaps work on publishing a route for UFRC.
• Joint Trips (private or public)
  Meet up with your friends on your next trip into the outdoors or look to make new ones.
• Did together
  Sometimes technology can let you down or you can run out of battery!  If you are walking in a group but your GPS tracking fails, another member of the group can allow you to add the track to your Outdooractive account – no fuss.
